(The title is supposed to be "Any ANIMATED movie recommendations... whatever)

I was going through my external hard drive, deleting all the crap I never use, and I found that I had Spirited Away in there. I figured I'd give it a shot... holy crap, one of the best movies I've ever seen. I saw on wikipedia that it was rated one of the best animated films ever, and won a ton of awards! It was a great way to end my Sunday, that's for sure. I was wondering if you guys could recommend me some other animated films? I'm downloading one called Howl's Moving Castle right now, I think it's another movie by Miyazaki.

GITS: SAC is rather decent, garnering a lot of my friends' attentions although I haven't seen it myself.

I've watched Howl sometime last year, not as enchanting as Spirited Away, but it's definitely worth a watch. Miyazaki's works are all really fantastic, I can't find the words to describe them in any other way than well, droll and very nostalgic at the same time.

I also suggest you watch Akira as well, and Paprika. Paprika was AMAZING.

Howl's Moving Castle is quite good. I think you'll enjoy it.

If you're liking Miyazaki (and Studio Ghibli) I highly recommend Pom Poko (Tanuki War). You probably won't find a dubbed version, though.

It's not precisely a movie, but FLCL is a six part series that is mind-blowing, though very hard to understand.

Yobi the Five-Tailed Fox is pretty good. (again, it'll probably be subbed)

Thanks for all the suggestions! I'm downloading the first GITS movie, Akira, Kiki's Delivery Service, and Paprika. A friend also recommended me "The Girl that Leapt Through Time" or something like that.

Isn't that InuYasha?

EDIT: InuYasha, Episode 1 "The Girl Who Overcame Time... and the Boy Who Was Just Overcome"

Maybe that's what gave me that impression.

Thanks for the correction B-Blue

I just found a big torrent (12 Gigs or so) with all of Miyazaki's works, so I'm gonna watch all of those! Also, I've already seen 5 Centimeters Per Second, it was really amazing... (I cried, lol) Now that you mention it though, I'm probably gonna want to watch it again.

Watch Spirited Away again? Check out Ghost in the Shell and the sequel, Howl's moving Castle is also good, you could also watch Grave of the Fireflies, but make sure you keep razors or ropes far away from you.
