1. no one knows how safe it is to install .cia onto sysnand, especially if it's downloaded from external sites, or a bad conversion from users.
tinkering with sysnand is not recommended.
you should be able to back up your sysnand, but restoration is a bitch

2. the exploit ain't out yet.

3. support for 9.x may be buggy/less smooth

4. they haven't shown any save conversion solutions.
if you update to 9.x, your new games (that normally uses 7.x key) may become corrupted.
only cart2/nand games can bypass this using savedatafiler (extract all games on decrypted on 4.5, them inject on 9.x after you updated)
but non-cart2 won't have this luxury, without a solution from GW (or anyone else for that matter)

5. If you personally enjoy additional features,
it'll be modified launcher.dat on previous GW releases, which will be 4.x
I expect GW to make their latest version harder to crack.
(there's no guarantee they'll port "user added features", like what they did with devmenu)

6. sell the 4.5 to mt card users for extra cash, and buy a nn3ds.

people who got GW probably tried to sell their MT card away (cause it's only true working innovation was multirom, using a button)
and these people got duped, cause they thought it would work with their 3ds.

so make a quick buck by selling the rare 4.5 3DS!
(tons of people sold partial updated 4.5, and it was bad)

I only suffered that from the NSMB2 dump from BBB.
All my custom converts did not suffer that.

so it's probably a conversion problem ><

it uses kernal or super deep userland.
the 3DS isn't suddenly going to spawn a multirom manual.

it needs to be directed to read the data from the new launcher.
why new launcher?
cause updated 3ds has new functions/check before booting nativefirm,
which GW probably included into the launcher so that emunand boots.
now that we are booting on a new fw itself, the launcher needs slight changes.

I'm more interested in the new installer file, though.

I did all of my roms to cia myself also but there is 3-4 games that I have to open every time I go into gateway mode. I couldn't find cia's to download anywhere. The USA theme pack was the only one I found

you could try websites that host files for 3ds and isos.
boldly search google.com and you'll find it.

That shouldn't happen.. it happened with me if I used the quineo pack and early 3ds_to_cia pack 1.1(probably), converted with the latest leomajor 3ds_to_cia 2.00 and I no longer need to unwrap every time I load into emunand.

I'm just saying logically,
since it's a slightly upgraded firmware,
all their rerouting to enable booting can be removed.
or they can just redirect their code away from the rerouting and leave the extra data there.
either way, new launcher.

But you're right, I don't know for sure.

But a newer installer is likely gonna happen,
unless the exploit doesn't require blue card and is some miimaker thing or qr code thing or internet browser thing.

Naturally I'm going to need more info. We'll see if there are any real benefits to having emuNAND once the new exploit is released. I'm glad Gateway is blowing the overpriced Sky3DS out of the water, though.

If I end up trading in my 3DS XL for an N3DS XL, then the choice would obviously be made for me. But that's a long way off.

okay i've checked the video, and noticed something, the startingpoint of games is changed! it used to start at gamecard, but when the card is injected it jumpet right to the mii channel which got me thinking, what if this means they made it start a custom mii? and if that's so, would we still be able to play online? since i don't know if we are all playing the same mii it will get noticed by Nintendo. since i never saw emunand but devmenu started in real nand, i don't know if that's such a great thing...
