Interesting. Unmounting still leaves the block device accessible in Linux, so it should show up in the list. I'll take a look at this.

I'm going to need a stack trace for this. 1.0.2 will include ACRA crash reporting, so we can revisit this issue then.

this app doesn't work for my toshiba thrive
it crashed immediately after 'requesting root'

I can open it normally if I remove my microsd, but what's the point for that LOL

I'm currently busy with finals at the moment. Rest assured, I'll take a look at all the issues and release another update as soon as possible.

The Galaxy S doesn't support USB-OTG.

It runs on my Galaxy S (using latest CM11 nightly). But after attempting to flash my external SD card, it appears to have instead wiped my a partition of my internal SD card; when I connect my phone to a PC, an unformatted drive shows up .. not sure what to format it to, or if that would mess up the phone?

When you say internal SD card, do you mean device onboard storage, microSD card or USB OTG device?

If it's the former, an Odin flash should work.

Also, do you remember which filesystem you selected? This is important - the app tries to prevent you from overwriting your phone's internal memory by not listing it in the device list, and I need to know what changes to make to prevent this from occurring again.

Onboard storage: all files still seem to be present.
Internal SD ("sdcard0"): No longer appears to show up internally, but shows up as unformatted drive when connecting phone to PC via USB
External SD ("sdcard1"): no problems.

My phone does not have OTG as far as I know.

The phone is still operating fine, so I'd prefer not to reflash the entire thing with Odin if that is going to wipe the phone. If there is another way? As I say (edited my post above), the b0rked drive still shows up when I connect to windows, it is just asking to be formatted in some way. I don't know what to format it to (fat32?) - and if I do, will that wipe out the onboard storage in addition to wiping the internal SD?

Also, do you remember which filesystem you selected?

I remember selecting the second option, as it seemed to be the closest thing to "sdcard1" than the first option.

Just format it. If Windows doesn't recognize it and asks you to format, then it's referring to sdcard0. Your onboard storage is separate.
