Arc System Works has been a well known company for many years now. Most people would recognize the name for their most popular fighting game series, Guilty Gear. May 14 2018 marks the game's 20 year anniversary as a series. During a live stream on their Twitch channel, they announced plans to bring the first ever game in the series to Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch and Steam allowing many people not familiar with it's origins to experience the beginning of the series where it all started.
May 14, 1998 was the day Arc System works released Guilty Gear for the Playstation in Japan. Guilty Gear is a 1 vs 1 fighting game in the same tradition as other popular games at the time like Street Fighter & Mortal Kombat. 20 years later, the series has grown large having many games across the main series, revision updates, & spin off games. The game became a success around the world especially among fighting game enthusiast for having diverse content of interesting characters, intriguing story, heavy metal music and deep gameplay that makes it very distinguished among the others that also remain popular today.
