Are You Able To Use GameCube Controllers on A Homebrewed Wii? I have a homebrewed Wii and I was wondering if there was any way to get my GameCube controller to function on the Wii menu?

No you can't use them on the homescreen which is a shame

No you can't use it on the Wii menu, but you can use it on emulators, and Nintendont (obviously), and the few Wii games that support it like MKWii.

It's not what you're after, but a close alternative would be to have your wii set to boot directly into usbloader gx or another homebrew like Wiiflow or post loader that works with gamecube controllers. In that sense you could turn on the wii and play without a wiimote and just a GC controller.

Good suggestions so far. There's also a replacement option for the Wii Menu, called "RVLoader" which supports GameCube controls standard. It's mostly meant for portablized consoles, but there's no reason it couldn't be used on a normal Wii. This is a more complicated setup compared to other options above, but it's capable of quite a bit too. Don't install this if you're not prepared to spend some time getting everything set up.

You actually can, but it's not really worth it.

The creator of BBLoader/RVLoader (Aurelio) found a way to do it. Look for the GC2Wiimote thread.
