4th gen mobile CPU and Intel HD graphics. It can play casual games, but will struggle with any 3D games and will probably have weird artifacts (I saw this when running Borderlands on it many years ago).

I'd recommend trying the half life series, it's pretty old so it should work fine with your laptop and it's a classic pc game

I'd also recommend for the person to try the Portal Series, Portal 1 runs great on older hardware and while Portal 2 is more demanding it's still possible to lower the texture settings/resolution and achieve more stable frame rates, this comes from someone who is currently beating Portal 2 on low/medium settings at 1080p using AMD integrated graphics.
