Hacking Best Way to Mod Any Wii: ModMii for Windows: Official Support Thread

Hi, I keep getting a "Wii Backup Manager v0.3.8 build60: Missing" error.

I have enough space on my disk and I installed modmii completely fresh twice. Could it be that there is a problem with the download or the script?

it's working fine for me. This is how ModMii operates:
-If starting firmware = ending firmware then a system menu wad is not downloaded (if a theme is selected then the csm and mymenuify will be download)
-If the starting firmware is not equal to ending firmware then a system menu wad is downloaded (if a theme is selected then a themed system menu wad will be constructed)
If you get different results let me know exactly what keyboard strokes you input into ModMii so I can replicate the problem.

From the post:
I quickly fixed a couple of bugs. Here's build 69 (Win32 only) with the fixes..
|-Fixed: Database filter dialog wasn't translated correctly when setting the language.
|-Fixed: "New language file" function was adding all the database filters to the new file. ie. all the developer/publisher names etc.

Using ModMii 4.7.5 (eng)

If i type this, the wad for System Menù will not be downloaded:
W - N - 3.X - E - 4.1 - A - N - Y - D

But if I type this:
W - N - 3.X - E - 4.1 - A - Y - N - N - N - N - N - N - N - Y - D
or this:
W - Y - 3.X - E - 4.1 - A - N - N - Y - D
the wad for System Menù will be downloaded.

I try with different firmware and region but the result is always the same.

I've confirmed the bug and will have it fixed for the next update. Thx a lot for reporting it! And just so you know this bug isn't dangerous (it's safe to stay on lower firmware, just not as advantageous as 4.1)

do u have a wiibackupmanager.zip saved in the temp folder?

Yes, I have it. Obviously it cannot unzip for some reason? Where should it go?

that's weird, try deleting it from the temp folder and trying again.

You can run wiibackup manager from anywhere on your PC. It can be on a hard drive, on your desktop, anywhere. Depending on your modmii settings, ModMii may make start menu and desktop shortcuts for WBM for you.

I got to step 5) Install Wads

I had to switch to IOS58 to get it to read the SD card. At which point 16 did not complete

IOS58 (or any non-fakesigned IOS for that matter) will not allow u to install fakesigned content (ie. files that aren't 100% by ninty) or downgrade IOSs. It sounds like the previous step of running IOS236 Installer did not complete successfully, thus leading to errors when trying to use IOS236 in the install wads step. So go back to the IOS236 Installer step and try again.

will do. Buddy thinks its because my SD card is 8gb. True? I figured I wouldnt have been able to even get this far if that was the issue.

ios236 v65535 wont read the sd card at all....

Help. i tried downloading a darkwii 4.1u green theme and then it says building theme for like 5 minuites then it says fail md5 valadation what ever and then it redownloads then same thing. whats ironic is i tried on my xp computer (the computer im using now is win 7) it worked like a charm. only problem is it keeps saying i need to fromt on that computer. WHAT DO I DO?
