There is a lot Nintendo has fucked up with the Wii u but it is getting better and better. It has some pretty strong titles but it looks throughout next year Nintendo will be supporting the console by itself, which doesn't bother me too much

I have the wiiu also the ps4 but, ps4 is lame right now the games sucks, also the xbone. I know sometime in the end of 2014 will be some nice game for ps4... but i wont lose a year without nice games to play... Wii u is the best console for fun right now and in the next 10 months at least.

Games out now, or in the next few months, that I'd really like to get on each system

Wii U: 5-6
PS4: 1
Xbone: 0

Yeah, I think I'll keep asking Santa for that Wii U. Course, I'll probably get coal instead for being naughty. I can't help it, porn is so addictive.

Atlus?

I love Nintendo but unique and interesting stories is something I have never associated with them.
Never played Earthbound did you? How about Pikmin? Starfox? Zelda? Luigi's Mansion? Metroid? While they may not all be "deep and engrossing" there's certainly more there than your everyday FPS.

Good choice, I say screw all the Nintendo naysayers. Let them have their Call of Duty's and their Gears of War. Even though Nintendo releases franchise games that are similar to previous iterations at least there are distinct differences and innovations. I personally don't care for Sony this generation and I've never cared for Microsoft so as far as I can tell I'll be sticking with the company that makes fun games with unique and interesting stories.

Pffffffft, alright. If these are your unique and interesting stories, I think you need to experience more stories.

Call of Duty has a stronger, more cohesive storyline than most Nintendo franchises, and the sad thing is I'm not even joking here.

Lol at Nintendo fanboys thinking all Sony and Microsoft fans do is play FPS games.

The main reason I like the Wii U right now, is pretty simple. If at the point of purchase, you did not see any Wii U games that stood out to you, and you had the original Wii, you could use all of your old games and accessories on the new system.

I'm happy enough with my Wii U + PS3 setup for now, but I know that there's probably going to be some really great exclusives coming to the PS4/XBone over the next few years. Buying one of those consoles just seems inevitable, but I'll probably wait until the slim revisions.

I don't know about Earthbound or Star Fox, but Pikmin is basically "yeah you ended up on this planet somehow, now collect stuff to get back", Zelda is basically "princess (or someone else) got kidnapped, save her and the world in the process", Luigi's Mansion is basically "Luigi gets gifted a creepy mansion, go explore it. Oh and there's ghosts". I'll give you Metroid Prime though.

That's very true. You gotta love Nintendo's backward compatibility. Microsoft and Sony could take a lesson from them. I also love that you can buy and play old school games from NES, SNES, N64 etc.

It's like when you own the latest Nintendo system you own them all.

I don't know about Xbox One but Gaikai will allow PS4 and Vita to stream PS2 and PS3 games to both systems.

That is very cool, but still not a real backwards compatibility. I see no reason why PS4 couldn't run at least PS3 Games like the Wii U runs Wii games.

That is the most messed up logic I've ever seen...

I bought this because there were no games I wanted for it but for $299 I get the opportunity to play the games I already own and am already able to play on the original system.

The hardware is completely different. If Sony wanted backwards compatibility in the PS4, they'd basically have to throw a PS3 inside the console, which would be very expensive.

They tried that with the PS3 at launch, and it was one of the factors that led to the absurdly high price point ("599 US dollars!" etc., etc.).

I own PS3 and X360 and had NONE FPS games just one FPS (Gears of War 2). I believe that one thing is for sure, Nintendo games are more family oriented in general. Of course you have FPS and AC3, AC4 etc, but it's undeniable that Wii U has more games for kids and the family and less violent games and FPS.
