Blizzard's Chief Legal Officer and Overwatch executive producer both leave Blizzard
Activision Blizzard continues to lose high level staff in the midst of its workplace discrimination lawsuit. Weeks after its longtime President J. Allen Brack stepped down and it dismissed several other high profile employees, and only days after its CEO was subpoenaed and the SEC got involved, two more important figures are leaving the company: Chief Legal Officer Claire Hart and Overwatch 2 development head Chacko Sonny.
In a post published yesterday on her LinkedIn, Claire Hart announced her departure from Activision Blizzard, and that she will be taking a short break before moving on to her next position. Chacko Sonny's departure was originally reported by Jason Schreier at Bloomberg, reporting that Sonny would be leaving at the end of the week. This was later confirmed to Polygon by a Blizzard representative, who issued a statement saying that “Chacko Sonny is leaving Blizzard to take some time off after 5 years of service" and emphasizing that Overwatch 2's development is continuing smoothly.
Neither Hart's blog post nor the official Blizzard statement referenced the ongoing legal situation at the company.
