Is there a way to use Bluetooth headphones on the Nintendo Switch without any extra Hardware? Cathery on GitHub works already on a way to get Bluetooth Controller support with sys-con. So I guess its not impossible to get Bluetooth Headphones connected to the Nintendo Switch with a CFW. Is there already a way to get this, Do we have to wait or is it simply not possible?

There's nothing that currently exists that will allow you to do that. In theory I suppose it's possible, since you can get bluetooth audio working with Linux, Android and Lakka on Switch. But I don't think anybody has accomplished this in Horizon. Would be awesome though, should be a baked-in feature in my opinion but I guess Nintendo didn't want bluetooth audio interfering with up to 8 controllers simultaneously connected.

in the switch hardware itself no but i bet sys-con is working on a way to use the Bluetooth controller in the 3rd party controller itself

Not yet....

PS4 gold headsets work with the dongle.... but, I’m told, the microphone doesn’t work... Nintendo nerfed it afaik and unless devs work around it only Fortnite, Smite, Paladins, and Friday the 13th will work.

The review I did for the HomeSpot 5.0 adaptor highlights similar issues with BT audio: https://gbatemp.net/review/homespot-bluetooth-5-0-audio-transmitter.1179/

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.
