So, i know that the maximum size that the WiiU Will recognize is 2 TB, even if hard drives with a buffet size are accepted.

So, more than 2Tb Will be a waste of space (because the WiiU Will format the entire hard drive and not partitions) and a waste of money.

I ever preferred 3,5"" hard drive with extrnal Power supplies, but right now i have already connected, in the same electric socket 3 3,5" hard disk with their own Power supply: a 5TB for my movies and TV series, a 3 TB for my Anime and a 500 GB for Wii/vWii, plus the Television, a miniPC, a Dolby 5.1 surround sound System, a blu ray player, the PS3, the Wii and the WiiU.

So i was thing about buying for the first time and hard drive that doesn't Need external Power supplies.

How the WiiU handles It? It needs a Y adapter? How the Homebrews work with them?

A lot of Wii U games don't need that much space if you ask me. I use a 1TB drive and installed all games I own on it. Now I have about 50 games + updates installed and still ~600MB free
500MB could become narrow by some time. So I'd suggest getting a 1TB one since the price difference isn't that big.
Ensure the drive has a plug for external power sources. The Wii U is not always able to provide enough power for a 2.5" drive (never happened to me tho)

Yeah my question is pretty much about the power and not about the space (i want to store all my Wii, WiiU and GC games in the same Hard drive so i Will go to the 2 TB) since i ever used external powered hard drives, but right now i have too many wires and devices connected in the same place, i was hoping to don't have to buy another 3,5" hard drive.

Someone experienced any issues with 2,5" without an external power supply?

@Cyan excuse me if i'm tagging you, but you're the biggest Wii/wiiU Expert that i know, can You give me some advices?

@Xdqwerty there is health behaviour you can add to your character, then to use a health bar is lil more complicated, google n watch a few tutorial video on it, be too hard to explain here.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the character has the health behavior
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I know you have to create a health and health max variable. Then there is a calculation you use in code to subtract width size of the health bar. Google few vids.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the "greenflatbar" is one of the preset health bars btw
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea you can use any bar/sprite. It will just change the width. Ok good luck and have fun. I'm off to go shoot some pool at the bar. Talk to you later.
    +1
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, why does the health behavior exist if you can just use a variable?
