Isn't DU a piracy site? You might wanna censor that one out.

Also that's too bad, I just tried downloading "backups" from the CDN last Sunday :(

This is a bit weird as the current cert floating round has been active for 2 weeks now, which seems weird in itself for them not to ban it quicker

Ah snap. Thats not cool. Had high hopes in .nsp Files for updates etc.
They make it really hard for superbanned people to get any games or Updates.

Is it possible to dump eshop games directly from your switch? Not yet as I know?

Piracy on the switch was dumb to begin with and even dumber now. I'm all for running backups when feasible but the switch just never have been. Ban = crippled console and to avoid ban you need to basically rip the wifi out of it which sort of defeats the purpose anyway.

What's the difference with any other console where ban cripples your console as well?

Not really, when you are banned you can also just install updates through DevMenu/Tinfoil/whatever. And hey, finally a console that doesn't nag to install updates everytime you start a game! :D
And hos do you suppose we'll get those updates now?

but those updates need to come from somewhere, which up until now was likely cdnsp.
there's gonna be a drought of non-cart-dumps from here on out.

not to mention, those websites that specialize in these sort of things have a habit of using the worst file uploaders, which is why people loved the cdns

Isn't it already possible to dump installed titles to NSP? Same as 3DS, there are still updates distributed as CIAs. There will be a longer time until these are uploaded yeah.

Nah don't worry.

using the worst file uploaders
Luxury problem :P On "the umbrella site" there are many users who upload to GDrive or MEGA.

Wasn't this a dump from a eshop game?

https://gbatemp.net/threads/first-switch-eshop-dump-released-by-bbb.500570/

looks to me that this dump was not CDN dump?

The other question is: If there would be a possibility to dump legal purchased eshop games – will this console not be banned for using homebrew to dump that purchased game since like a understood with update 6.00 nintendo can detect if any homebrew was launched?

Well even if this won’t be possible – then it will be only XCI in the future.

I have something to ask about this. I'm not banned yet but when It does happen because I know its coming how would I install the update if I had the update file to install on my system? I don't care about burning fuses.

I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
