Hi guys. I need a tip for a beginner trying to create cheats. So I am just playing around with cheat engine. And I want to known for 2d games. Would the value type generally be 4 bytes? I am practicing using Super Mario Wonder. The only thing I am trying is to create an inf health cheat. I know there is cheats for this game already. I just want to get better at hacking games. So I can contribute to new game releases for the Switch. My biggest problem is when I hit next scan my results dwiddle down to 0. And there are values that are in constantly changing.

The following codes for Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze need to be corrected, as they are not working like they should.

There is no control to this Moon Jump code (or any of the jump codes made for this game, for that matter). You jump and you go offscreen for awhile till you fall. The code needs to be changed so that the jump can be canceled in midair when you let go of the button and be able to jump up again in midair when you push it....like an actual Moon Jump code should.

This next code only gives the illusion that you got the puzzle pieces in each stage on the pause screen, but in reality it does not affect the end stage tally and thus, this code is ineffective. Even if the value was changed to match the amount of puzzle pieces for each stage, it still does not affect the tally at all.

As a general value finding tips start with 4 bytes. If no value could be found, try float. If still cannot find, try unknown initial value for 4 bytes and so on. It is trial and error. With practice, you will roughly know what to use.

Some values on some Switch games are 16-bit or 8-bit. I have personally encountered examples of these in the 2 games I have made codes for.

I cannot believe there are barely any cheats for Stardew Valley. It is such a fun and addicting game!

I can only find the time set and infinity energy cheats that actually work. The infinite health and money cheats do not work.

I came across a Chinese site that supposedly has cheats but you have to register and pay on the site to get access to them. You can only sign in with a QQ account to access the site... every other method is not working.

Does anyone have or know or even try to get cheats working for this?
