I updated my op with new info. Nvidia has stated that these games have been remastered which probably means that these games are being ported and not emulated. All games are in 1080p.
Also, people can correct me but after some researching, there is no gyroscope on the Nvidia shield controller which makes sense because there hasnt been a need for it.

You are right in saying there is no Gyroscopes in the controller (I also did some research again) I beleive I was wrog the first time, sorry about that

So if a Nvidia Shield can run Wii games then the question on my mind is how custom is the custom X1 SOC inside the switch

EDIT: X1 not K1

Nvidia is not in the business to feature custom chips unless it gets paid really well. One of the reasons you are not seeing Nvidia return in the "console" business, supposedly there making a loss on the chips supplied to Nintendo. The only thing that might be custom are some of the modes limited to a certain TDP but that has to be something which would be rather trivial.

Dude... it's NINTENDO. The people WHO MADE THE GAMES. This is the silliest comment I've ever read. They eventually emulate all of their games' systems. C'mon dude. Think. THEY MADE THE GAMECUBE. They obviously would know how to code an emulator. Far better than the Dolphin team, also, because... Nintendo Magic.
it will be fun to watch Nintendo receiving a takedown notice if they stole codes from the Dolphin team. some game ROMs in the eShop are stolen from file sharing site, so it's not impossible for it to happen again.

Fake Edit:
Turns out it's a remaster. Looking forward to the inevitable $20 fees.

It costs RMB 68 (~$10) a pop in China. Hopefully NoA can start permanently lowering Wii game prices in the eShop.

This is interesting and cool. Remasters instead of emulated. I feel this will bode VERY well for Gamecube & Wii games on the Switch.

This can only mean that Wii ports are a paid service that will only be available behind the paywall for Nintendo Network *speculation*

But yeah. If I was Nintendo I would do it that way... not fun but the only way it is profitable.

Guess there's no reason to buy a Switch now~ :P

I believe it's actually fairly bog-standard, from what I recall. I believe very little was actually customised in the end, for better or worse.

Just repeating Nintendo Magic isn't an argument.

is this legal??
Why wouldn't it?

SHIELD owners in China will be able to download and play select Wii and Nintendo GameCube titles, with others coming soon – among them,Super Mario Galaxy. These amazing games have been provided to NVIDIA under license.

This pretty much confirms that these are ports and not emulations. The button icons on twilight princess are updated to the Nvidia shields layout.
