The same size of BodyCache.bin in EXTDATA, dump it and you can see its maximum size.

Yeah, I do. Mine is 9.0.0-20U w/ Ninjhax but its not appearing in the homebrew launcher, despite it being in the 3ds folder (I'm assuming it's supposed to show up here?)

That's weird... Do you have 3dsx file downloaded ? Maybe the name of the folder can have an influence ? Mine is "CHMM"

Yeah I do, maybe the folder might make a difference, I'll try changing the name of the folder. Inside the folder its just supposed to be the 3dsx file and the Themes folder with each of those in their own separate folders right? (I don't need 3ds or cia in there cuz I'm not using Gateway right?)

I just copied the folder over inside the 3ds folder and deleted the 3ds and cia files since I don't have gateway. Only thing inside the folder is the 3dsx file and the themes folder with the theme stuff inside there.

Take also smdh file in CHMM folder and take in mind that 3DSX file, SMDH file and folder MUST have the same name.

That might be why, I don't have that. A fresh download gives me this.

The 3DSX, the SDMC/other icon file have to have the same name. Yes, you don't need the CIA or the 3DS.

I copied them directly to the micro sd card.

Edit: Renaming the folder CHMM worked and it appeared. Thanks for the help guys!

You have to copy them in 3ds folder in your SD card. Not MicroSD.

The n3ds uses a micro sd, not a regular sd like the old ones. Renaming the folder worked though, thanks for the help

Seems something is wrong with your extdata archives.
What's your 3DS region?

Stupid mistake on my part. once I changed to another basic theme the 3ds created sd card files. Worked after that

Getting something about Error 58 string cant access exdata. Themes are in a folder called Themes on the root of the SD card and and I using a gateway and using the tool via CIA installed version. They are japan region free themes I am trying to use. What am I doing wrong? I am on 9.5 emunand right now.

Dump your extdata theme files through yellows8 tool (https://github.com/yellows8/3ds_homemenu_extdatatool) and post them.
I'm assuming your folders are all ASCII-formatted and you're using a working theme.
