So I have a DSi and DS Lite and I would like to connect them to the internet but I don't have access to the router to change the security setting to support a lower security type. What are some good ways to get these devices connected?

Doesn't the ds support up to wep? You can change the router with opera browser. I tested the ds online last year, and I was unable to load even a basic web page. LOL. You can setup a Hotspot with your phone. Wep is so old that you'll probably have to use no security.

If you want to connect your games to the internet on the DS, you need to setup a hotspot on your phone with no password as most games dont support the newer security protocols.

DSI supports more than just WEP. :ninja:

I mean easiest is android phone with data. You can just set it to open.

Other options:

1. Original wifimax usb (I really should find mine, wonder if it works past win 7)
2. Get a cheap router and use wireless mac filtering
3. Maybe some linux that will allow mobile hotspot with open/wep

I believe that it uses the old Win 7 Internet Connection Sharing feature, so yeah it might need a Win 7 desktop computer. A virtual machine with USB support might work though.

It doesn't use that, it's only intended to support 32-bit XP and Vista, though I believe it's possible to get 32-bit Windows 7 working if you mess with some DLLs manually or something like that.

I think a 32-bit Windows XP/Vista (or maybe 7) VM will work, however there's honestly not any point as if you can do that you can do a Linux VM and with Linux you can just use any USB Wi-Fi adapter.

the Nintendo device isnt a simple wifi adapter... its actua;lly an access point that leverages the PC's internet connection. it's not a great device and obviously has some technical limitations.

Nintendo even implemented a proprietary authentication that this device uses.

I tried making chocolate lava cakes the other day in cupcake pan, what a mess, my lava exploded out of the cakes everywhere while baking, was still ok tho, just no lava inside.

We had our grandkids over yesterday and I got a small above ground swimming pool I filled for them to play in. Well today I woke to find 3 ducks swimming around in it. Don't mind really but they are annoyingly loud, quack quack. Gotta drain it today. Guess what were having for dinner, lol.

I used butter instead of vegetable oil, and think that's why they squirted out during baking, who knows

plus if you're making brownies or lava cakes for people with dairy allergies, you should use oil instead of butter anyway

I make rum cake for 4th July every year, I make it a week prior and then soak it in rum in the fridge all week. I flip the cake each day, and add little more rum, it soaks it up everyday, so good.
