I have an EDEV NAND, can I use the EDEV NAND to create and boot an EmuMMC on the production version of the Switch?

I tried dumping Rawnand to create an EmuMMC, but it looks like I need to tweak it a bit.

When I try to start EmuMMC, I get the following message.

Pkg2 decryption failed!
Is hekate or sept updated?
Failed to Launch HOS!

I'm using the latest versions of hekate and sept.

This is a property of the NxNandManager when it was load the rawnand.bin.

I upgraded my nand to 64gb can a retail console run this dev firmware out of interest.. via atmo etc
You can run dev firm by hardcoding dev keys in AMS, using a prodinfo from a devkit, hardcoding the devid for that prodinfo in exosphere, and flashing an EDEV firmware to your eMMC/emuMMC. eMMC size is irrelevant.
(also curious, did you dump this 64GB eMMC before doing stuff with it?)

I bought a 64gb emmc and soldered to upgrade… wasn’t from a dev kit. But thanks for info was interested in trying it.

Hi, I am very interested in EDEV NAND, can you share your rawnand.bin? Thank you very much, please forgive me if it is not convenient.

Do you know what kind of things would this enable/allow that we cannot already do? I understand the dump cannot be shared here, but very curious as an office mate mentioned his son ran one. Was during my retirement 'party' (party in air quotes bc I've long been sick with social/general anxiety disorder - those who have it or have known someone and understood it know what I mean, to those who don't, you are blessed in this regard :) so I didn't really get to ask any questions about it.

Doesn't need patch the edev nand before as it is done when installing it on the real nand?

Literally nothing unless you're interested in preservation and don't already have whatever.

wdym? You'd be copying the contents of the nand over, not flashing the entire dump.

Yes, I understand this part. What I mean if the save file doesn't need be signed with the prod switch keys.
I have just send you a doc by Discord I noted the steps for installing it on the nand.

Oh, yeah, that's needed, I'd say that kinda goes with "flashing an EDEV firmware to your eMMC/emuMMC" :P
