And this is why I "patched" my copy of Splinter Cell Conviction when I bought it. My connection isn't that stable, so I said "screw this, I'm hacking my copy of the game". So I did, I made it so uPlay no longer has to verify the game or the connection, and it just launches without hassle. Always online DRM sucks balls and so do the proponents of said DRM. I'm very careful about what I purchase nowadays, and if it has restrictive digital restriction management, I don't buy it
That's what I do, if the game has said DRM, I crack the exe and play away. I paid for it, why should I have to suffer for the actions of those who pirate. Sure, it's illegal to circumvent DRM or other AP measures in the US, but guess what? I couldn't care less because I'm evil
And people wonder why I've decided not to bother with "new" games.
