Well, I think I'm experiencing Resident Evil in real life, I rented a house for a 1 week vacation, and it's very scary, everything is so old, These outlets are so old that I'm afraid to plug anything in haha

Yesterday, when I was going to the basement, I heard a loud banging noise coming from the warehouse, maybe there are zombies in there?

Today, I wanted to go to the attic, But when I went to open the door, the door handle fell, so, I can't open it... I think it's trying to hide something from me...

This also has several abandoned houses around, the plot of this house is huge, and I already found cannabis in this house.

Overall, it's been cool, I've been enjoying being here, but the house is really scary, in the outside, and in the inside, and everything is very old...

I feel like I'm in Resident Evil

I once stayed at an airbnb with actual animal skulls and paintings of corpses

the lady who owned it was trying to spin it off as some sort of art colony - but it was downright horrifying

Some five years ago or so I saw the police around 10pm ~ 1am in the forest, behind the backyard. Seems they were after someone and that did make me worried for sure.

Did it make it to the news or did anyone talk about it? No.

More recently I saw like three lights coming from the sky and then it stopped. I wish I'd have recorded all of this for evidence because it's so surreal.

Update: Now I'm hearing noises coming from the attic, I don't believe in ghosts/spirits, but yeah, it's pretty weird.
Oh, and now the attic window is open, and remember that I can't go to the attic due to the broken door...

I just want to believe that the window opened with the wind, and that the noises I hear is just the window slamming.

I kind of experienced Tomb Raider in real life... or rather, the game experience seeped into the real world.
Back when TR first came out on PS I played it so much that when I was out in town I'd find myself looking at walls and ledges and asking myself "Is that a standing jump or a running jump?" ...but I did do a lot of acid back then too, so that may be a factor.

Good thing you never misjudged a running jump 😬

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
    +1
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
