Hacking DIOS MIOS (Lite)

How is anyone even booting DM 2.2? I tried with DM booter (latest version on googlecode) and all I got after several attempts was the game start (crazy taxi), all options missing (no text on screen at all), all motion video missing, then hit start and black screen high pitched whine...

In the 2.2 version, these game won't boot, and the wii drive look for a disk (start reading something).

All games have a blackscreeen after or before the PROGRESSIVE SCAN option.

I tried with cfg loader last mod and dios mios booter r28, it allways start the game that is in the disc drive. with v 2.2 (2)

DM 2.1 and 2.2 break everything for me. almost all games were working for me up to version 2.0.5 except for the spyro titles which all black screen on my end, so I guess I'm staying with 2.0.5 until the issues are resolved and a new, more stable release of DM comes around the corner. however, I apreciate the new features such as widescreen support and the like. you always have to take into account that something else might break when adding new features, and I'm curious what else will get added in the future.

Well I posted this a few pages back but lets see if this helps in some way. I load pikmin, paper mario and both start fine but when they seem to make the loading the wii drive makes a noise like it is accesing the drive and the screen goes black. You can still hear the music but you have to shut it down. I have a wiikey 1 installed on the wii. BTW Im using Dios mios 2.2 and the hd is primary active and the first partition fat32 32 clusters. If somebody has had this problem and managed to resolved it I would greatly appreciate the solution to this problem.

Did you have a memory card in Slot B, cause there is an issue with DM and Slot B that causes black screens in baten kaitos and other games?

You find another problematic games? I'm tested other games, like metroid series , Resident Evil, and these games worked fine.

Other game don't work in any way is GUN.

All games are NTSC/U, and tested both : discex and clean iso.

for those getting problems with it always booting the disk in the drive or apploader size 0 (dor any DM(L) version), in CFG I think the option is something like "boot method" and it should be set to "1.2+", in DM(L) Booter it's also "boot method" and should be set to "new". see if that helps.

if that doesn't work then they're either also doing some sort of detection (despite the fact that there's a user option available) or I'm just wrong about the origen of this problem.

any other problems that pop up just from v2.1 or v2.2, try turning off the NoDisk patch. v2.1 and v2.2 will interpret that as turning on the Widescreen patch instead and some games might just not be compatible with that patch.
Otherwise, I'm guessing there are just new bugs in those versions breaking certain games. for that you'd have to go back to previous versions or wait for a new one.

I tried all boot methods, with the same result. In some cases, selecting boot method to 1.2+ or other options give a app zero error.

Luigi's Mansion and Prince of persia series refuses to work with any options.

Is there a v2.2.1 or v2.2.2? As I'm actually getting confused. :/

The bug I was on about was with no-disc and widescreen patches clashing with each other.

It stop at the Nintendo logo.

Last time (2.0 update3?) it was because it couldn't load non 8.3 filenames.
This time it's related to the game's sound or still a filename problem?
