Same here.. had to use an older one.

Same here, the 2 unofficial builds on WiiBrew (r40 and r42) dont work for me. The only working one I could find was r35. Anyone have a working build more recent than this?

r42 from Dykam doesn't work, it indeed returns to hbc.

@ Sashabel,

Can you compile a new dol from the r42 code

Okay I'll download the source and try my best.
If you create a separate thread for it, I'll post the dol there.

It looks like sd card speed has some effect on playability. In many cases the menus are quite slow and loading times are long but the game engine itself zips along well enough. Swapping out my ancient 256MB card for a class 6 2gb card from my camera straightened out Jazz Jackrabbit, which is enough to make me happy for now.

Awesome: Jazz Jackrabbit runs full speed.
Darn: Terminal Velocity will at least load now, but it's still a slide show. Maybe with cycles=max and no sound?

I'll edit the WiiBrew list as I work out which games work or don't. And if I find some config tweaks to get TV run well I'll definitely put them up.

Other games not on the list I'll try in the next few days:
Sam & Max Hit the Road
Lemmings
Liero
Raiden

Skyroads is giving me code dumps with default settings after playing about 3 minutes.

I have tried these with default settings:

Games:
Skyroads - Works perfectly, random code dumps
Prince of Persia - Works perfectly
Lionking - Does not work. Gives an in-game exception at the splash screens and then just quits
Aladdin - Works - A bit stuttering sound and gameplay but otherwise playable.
Alleycat - Works perfectly
Doom - Works, but slow framerate
Duke Nukums, Duke Nukem 2, Hocus Pocus - I can confirm they all work perfectly

Apps:
Bannermania - Works perfectly
QBASIC 1.1 - Works perfectly

Has anyone got Windows 3.11 to run with anything besides the EGA driver? I've tried the vga, vga 3.0, super vga, tiga and S3. Each one of them fails to load into windows.

finally got Jazz Jackrabbit to run, it's slow and choppy but very playable, maybe it needs some tweaking cause the wiki says it works and it's in green, but it was quite the bitch to get working for me.
It also has control issues if you have a controller connected or at least I did, but the game is eventually playable, I just wish it was 100% nice and smooth.

A little update:

compiled r43 dol (working, tested on my wii)

Change: dol loading directory now checked for conf file, and mounted as C (if NOT apps/dosbox-wii/). update readme

Speaking of which... here's the updated readme:

Code:
DOSBox v0.72.01 (Wii port)
http://code.google.com/p/dosbox-wii/

====
WII:
====

Report bugs at: http://code.google.com/p/dosbox-wii/issues/list
You can also view and download the source code from there.

To run homebrew applications, such as this one, on your Wii,
please see http://www.wiibrew.org/wiki/Main_Page

See the wiki for more information:
http://www.wiibrew.org/wiki/DOSBox_Wii

You currently need a USB keyboard to use DOSBox.
The Wii Remote can be used as a mouse by pointing and using the A
and B buttons. The Wii Remote, Nunchuk, Classic Controller and
Gamecube Controller can also be used as a joystick.
HOME will exit back to the homebrew channel, as will the RESET
button on the console.

The C: drive will automatically be mounted to sd:/DOSBox/ if loaded
from apps/dosbox-wii/. Otherwise, the directory the dol is loaded
from will be mounted as C, and sd:/DOSBox as D (if present).
The Z: driver is a virtual drive that is part of DOSBox.
Other drives can be mounted using the MOUNT command.
Prefix sd: for an SD card, and usb: for a USB drive.
The Wii's DVD drive and network folders can't be mounted at this time.

The configuration is loaded from the directory the dol is located in
(if present) and sd:/DOSBox/dosbox.conf otherwise
This file will be created automatically after you start DOSBox.
Please edit it with a text editor to choose settings appropriate
for each game.

Odd, when I use the VGA driver it locks up on the Windows intro screen. What changes to the config did you make?
