Is there a way to bypass the download play forced update? My 2nd 3ds is on 10.6 and has HBL on it but I haven't installed cfw yet (need new sd card) I was wondering if there is a way to bypass the fact that if you use download play it asks you to update? Maybe using HBL or another way.
I want to play mario kart with my 8yr old

Thanks

Objectively speaking, your only choices would be to get a new SD card as quickly as possible and setup a CFW (after downgrading, of course), or update to the latest version (obviously not recommended).

Httpwn should work fine, but the server where it downloads the config hasn't been working for the past 17 hours or so (see this post in the httpwn thread).
Try again when it's back up and see if that helps.

(If for some some reason httpwn doesn't end up working, then CFW is your only option.)
