Ok I've noticed there are a lot of people her on temp that hate the thought of the use of drugs ( recreational use ) yet they have never tried them? I understand that most countries advertise them as being very bad and harmful but when have governments told us the truth

I big example is weed ( Marijuana/Cannabis ) , people are always quoting and liking to all of this information that says that it is very harmful, addictive ect but they never look at the other side of the argument, there is also many people who have found differently, they have found it can help with pain and they have never actually proved that weed is harmful 100%.

When it comes to addiction some drugs are addictive and very dangerous ( E.g Heroin ) and can cause many problems but when it comes to weed it's different. It's just something you like doing, so when you stop it's not hard, it's just a bit like someone saying stop playing games, it's sad because you enjoyed it and it was fun but it doesn't mean you can't do it? Here is where people are like " It's called Psychological addiction *Link to page* and it's just as bad" but it just isn't, I could get that to anything so why does it matter when it's drugs?

Using drugs is a choose chosen by the person doing so, no one is forcing you to take them? or even like them but there is no point in saying they are bad and no one should ever use them because it doesn't help anyone? I take a lot of drugs and my girlfriend doesn't take any but she know that I like doing them and I don't do anything stupid because of them and I have no addictions so what is the problem. There are expensive in some places but so is buying and playing Xbox games online for example or playing WoW ( Used because everyone here is a gamer in some way

)

So there is my little rant about how people should stop arguing or at least respect both sides of the argument

As a little added point if people do select they have tried drugs what have you tried? Any funny stories when on them

I might throw out some stories of the funniest times when I can be bothered but personally I have tried a lot

Here's my belief.

Weed (and all other drugs without significantly harmful effects) should be legalized but not encouraged.

Plain and simple.

I haven't tried drugs (I'm 14 and it's not really my thing) but I think that the idea that people who take drugs are horrible addicts is a gross misconception.

This is only semi-related: I hate the old argument of "You can't say it's bad until you try it!". I've never tried murder, but it's still my opinion that it's bad.

Anyway, my opinions: Certain drugs (marijuana for example) should just be legalized. Others, though, shouldn't, such as LSD, cocaine, heroin, etc. I've never tried any of those, simply because I feel no desire to. I don't really care, per se, if someone else enjoys smoking weed, but it does make my respect for that person significantly drop. I'm not even going to attempt to rationalize this because there is absolutely nothing I can say about that which would be immune to a counterpoint. Using drugs is also my greatest turn-off. I absolutely cannot see myself being with a girl that even smokes weed.

Finally, what I hate most are people that are defined by their use of weed. That's all fine and good that you enjoy marijuana, but I really don't care, and it doesn't make you look cool or impressive. I know far too many people like this; all of their stories involve how high they were. It irritates me when someone can't find anything else to talk about.

I can see what you mean about how people are defined, I don't like being seen as the guy who does drugs and that's it, I like being my own person but I know people who just do drugs everyday with other people who also partake and then just talk about the times that they were high. I really respect the fact that the first comment saying they don't really like it is well structured and you actually read what I wrote, I want people to be like you, even if they do see it as a bad thing they can still be respectful

I don't drink much, maybe once a month and not that much. I also tried weed a few times, but I will never use it again because it's bad for me.

One of my best friends smokes weed and he isn't addicted to it. And he hasn't been affected in a wrong way, he does good at school and all, better than most, actually.
But some drugs can fuck you up, what can take you to fucking someone else's life up, that's why I chose only specific drugs.

I never tried weed, I'm pretty curious about the effect of it but I'm not in a hurry, I found smoking to be gross.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not particularly fond of drug users (mainly due to the fact that I was thrown out of a hospital once because they needed to treat some fucker who had overdosed). But honestly, let them take whatever they will. I'm of the opinion that anyone can do as he/she wishes as long as they do not inflict harm upon another.
That said, I do believe that they should be informed about the dangers of using a particular drug.

Wait, you're 17, and you've done all that? I'm sorry, but that's terrible. I don't see drugs for "entertainment" as good at all. For medicinal purposes it's fine to me, but other than that, it's just another way to screw up your life.

I agree , people should stop just telling us they are bad but actually educate people on the dangers, the amount to overdose ect, it would teach so many people and it could essentially save lives.

I have had cannabis, Heroin, cocaine, nicotine(cigerrates), alcohol. These are from top of my head.
Never did it on regular basis and never got addicted to anything. Or its just my stubborn head that is stronger than any drugs.

I have stopped and only do it ocassionaly if I am upset or in need of company.
