Looks like the sequel to this, which was a platformer which I was able to play all right with no Japanese knowledge.

I really like the first one. Unfortunately, like all Japanese games I play, I get tired missing out due to the language barrier or having to piece bits of the text together using online translation resources.

Still I had fun so I'm going to give this a run and maybe go back to the first as well.

Had a shot on this game, looks pretty playable without Japanese skills. After some intro set in a classroom involving some hilarious facial expressions it becomes a platformer where you can jump, punch, do a Guile-style flash kick special (that depletes a bar at the bottom of the screen) and a Castlevania jump-back move. You go around killing things (cupcakes?) until you find another penguin, you take him into a tree stump and fuck his shit up, fight club style.

The first game was a rather good Metroidvania from the couple hours I played. You need some Japanese skills for the equipment and stuff, though it's probably beatable without anyway.
