You can use any save editors that accept both system and emulator saves, so while not PKSM for Pokemon, PkHeX should work just fine. Although, just get nds-bootstrap for NDS games, no need for flashcarts for most games anymoreHey guys,I have a R4 card with some ds games like pokemon pearl and stuff. Can I use pksm or pokehex for that games?
But how will I take a save and transfer it to my sd if the R4 isnt the actual game but has games in it? sorry for the confusionYou can use any save editors that accept both system and emulator saves, so while not PKSM for Pokemon, PkHeX should work just fine. Flashcarts save to their SD card, so just look for the .sav (or whatever format your cart saves in) in there. But how will I take a save and transfer it to my sd if the R4 isnt the actual game but has games in it? sorry for the confusion
Ohh ok nice thank you I have luma cfw installed on my 2ds,should I update the system? It keeps popping up and I cant play some gamesFlashcarts save to their SD card, so just look for the .sav (or whatever format your cart saves in) in there.
What's your system's firmware (go to settings to see if you don't know what it is). If it's under 11.7, you can just update (unless you want to use Gateway or something), it's safe since you have Luma. Also, check to see what Luma version you have in case you have an old one, current one is 9.0.Ohh ok nice thank you I have luma cfw installed on my 2ds,should I update the system? It keeps popping up and I cant play some games

Luma version is displayed when you press select on boot. NDS bootstrap is automatically installed with DSi Menu++.I am on 11.6.Where can I see my luma version? Also what abouth the nds bootstrap? Thanks a lot
Ahm I am pretty sure I am gonna mess that up though. Is it difficult you think? If you are on 11.6, only the very newest games won't run, but you can just go ahead and update, it's ok. As for Luma, go to the Luma settings to find the version (press Select while booting). As for nds-bootstrap, it's this: https://gbatemp.net/threads/nds-bootstrap-loader-run-commercial-nds-backups-from-an-sd-card.454323/ You can use forwarders for it or DSiMenu++ (a replacement for TWLoader), look into them and use whichever one you prefer. Forwarders are the same as playing 3DS games, just find them in the home menu and select them to play, making it really quick and simple, but less functions than DSiMenu++.
Don't know about DSiMenu++ since I don't really like it, but forwarders are basically this: copy paste the necessary files to the _nds folder at the root of your SD card (you make the folder), then copy the NDS files to the SD card and just create the forwarders with 2 clicks, install them and you are all done.Ahm I am pretty sure I am gonna mess that up though. Is it difficult you think?
Hm I see thanks.Do you have a link for that forwarders thing?Don't know about DSiMenu++ since I don't really like it, but forwarders are basically this: copy paste the necessary files to the _nds folder at the root of your SD card (you make the folder), then copy the NDS files to the SD card and just create the forwarders with 2 clicks, install them and you are all done.
It's in the OP of the nds-bootstrap thread and it has instructions in it's own thread too. As for the latest version of nds-bootstrap, just go to the most recent posts of nds-bootstrap's thread or check here: https://github.com/ahezard/nds-bootstrap/releasesHm I see thanks.Do you have a link for that forwarders thing?
