Is there a way to enable Slot-1 Card saving while running a backup for situations such as modified roms? i want to edit some Pokemon roms for better quality changes but i don't want to have to resort to injecting the save file later on

nds-bootstrap's save patching code would have to be disabled.

Well that's a bit disappointing then, i can compile and modify code myself but i've got no clue on where to look to be able to do this myself, but thanks anyway.

Hey y'all, I'd like to run DS homebrew on the 3ds using TWiLight Menu, but I'd need to create a ramdisk. However, I only have access to a Linux computer, and the provided ramdisk software runs on Windows. Is there any way (besides wine) that I can create the necessary ramdisk on a linux system? Google gave me no useful results, so I figured I'd ask here. Thanks!

Never used the feature but just loaded the RAMDisk software into a virtual Windows machine (That is an option!).

Result: It just creates a file (size 29360640 Bytes for the input "28") containing a single FAT partition. Using the command
truncate -s 29360640 RAMDisk.img
creates an empty file of the same size on Linux. However, the Linux fdisk program will not create a partition with this start sector (not even in MS-DOS compatibility mode).

No idea if just creating any FAT partition inside an empty file will work with TWiLight Menu++

@Xdqwerty there is health behaviour you can add to your character, then to use a health bar is lil more complicated, google n watch a few tutorial video on it, be too hard to explain here.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the character has the health behavior
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I know you have to create a health and health max variable. Then there is a calculation you use in code to subtract width size of the health bar. Google few vids.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the "greenflatbar" is one of the preset health bars btw
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea you can use any bar/sprite. It will just change the width. Ok good luck and have fun. I'm off to go shoot some pool at the bar. Talk to you later.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, why does the health behavior exist if you can just use a variable?
