Sorry for reviving this years-old thread but I just thought this is worthy of replying still for in 2024.
So, I had this issue as well after I changed my aging Wi-Fi 5 modem to Wi-Fi 6 when I was connected to the 5GHz band. However, I managed to fix it by disabling the 2.4GHz bandwidth entirely, ensuring that all of my devices are connected to the same bandwidth (even though I manually configured them to connect to 5GHz manually for faster speeds initially). Now, my laptop connects perfectly fine with my smartphone using FTP Zilla.
