I only own one hat and it was one size fits all and I thought caps were adjustable.

Most modern cap-style hats are adjustable and "one size fits most". But many different styles of hat need to be fitted to you, so there is a whole range of sizes available. I just personally prefer a fitted cap.

Mansion 1 and 2 is on the 3ds though, so both are available pretty easily
