They didn't just "get used to it" - the SDK was re-worked to minimize ASM input to the bare minimum (only when you wanted to use some VERY specific functionality) and feel as similar as development for other architectures as possible, at least as far as I recall. The situation did not fix itself.The PS3 had flaws, so many developers hated and criticized developing because of the cell, but they got used to it. There's no reason why they can't do the same with the WiiU.
