I've been able to successfully install other games with no issues, but everytime I try to install Little Dragons Cafe, I get this error message. I have redownloaded it from multiple sources but I still have the same problem. I only ever get this error message with this game. Can anyone help?

Running ReINX on 6.2.

Here is the message:

"Failed to install NSP!
OpenFileSystemWithId:101: Failed to open file system with id: @Sdcard://tinfoil/nsp/Little Dragons Caf_ [0100A3F009142000][V0].nsp. Error code: 0x00000202

Maybe file name is too long? or has unsupported chars? try renaming it to just littledragonscafe.nsp and see if it will work

tinfoil by adubz has a option to verify nsp files on the main menu, n1dus is very good at installing things that others can't. How did goldleaf almost corrupt your switch?

I'm not sure exactly what happened, tried installing with the help of another user and there was just a bunch of problems. I got a blank screen and then my switch just stopped working. Had to let it die before I could charge and use it again. Just not willing to try it again in case something worse happens.

I'd be willing to use tinfoil/aluminumfoil to install via USB but I can't seem to get Zadig driver to install correctly and I'm worried that if I do it incorrectly I'll mess up the switch driver and my PC won't recognize it anymore

That definitely isnt normal, never had something like that happen to me, but not saying it didnt. Would back up everything and try again at some point since the app is maturing rather well. There is very little that cant be fixed since we have bootloader code exec so as long as you have a nand backup you are fine other than hardware damage.

The problem with using tinfoil to try to install it is even if its over the network or through usb, its still the same code handling the install, so it will likely have the same issues. I would try n1dus if not goldleaf

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    but that's a long shot

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
