lol at all the folks worrying about updates. The way I see it, useful exploits/homebrew won't appear for like a year or more. By the time that happens I'll have enough money to where I can just sell my old Switch and buy a new one on older firmware.

The console just launched a month ago. It's too early to be worrying about this. Mind you 3DS never saw useful exploits on 1.0/2.0. First exploits were for 4.5. I imagine this will be the case with the Switch. :P

If you want to split hairs, 2.x had a pretty useful exploit, but it was discovered long after the fact....
