If you've ever played a NIS (Nippon Ichi Software) game , such as Disgaea, you'll probably be familiar with Prinnies - the penguin-like creatures who like to say 'dood' a lot.

Back in 2008, NIS released a spin-off game featuring the loveable penguins: Prinny: Can I Really Be The Hero for PSP, followed by Prinny 2: Dawn of Operation Panties, Dood! in 2010.

Both of these games are being released later this year for the Nintendo Switch as Prinny 1-2: Exploded and Reloaded, and NIS is currently running a competition; The Prinny Voice Contest:

Can you really voice a Prinny, dood? Here’s your chance to get your voice in Prinny 1•2: Exploded and Reloaded, dood!
Submit your recording, and the vassals at NIS America will choose two (2) lucky winners to have their voice line included in the game on rotation for the playable Prinny!
You’ll also be included in our Special Thanks during the end credits. Additionally, we’ll be sharing our favorite runner-ups on our social media channels, dood!

Prinny 1 Voice Lines

Respawning after Death:"Gotta have smarts, dood!"

Finishing off a boss:"Final blow, dood!"

Putting the hurt on an enemy:"I'll give it my all, dood!"

Prinnies are the souls of criminals and generally awful people that are put into a stitched-together makeshift body. They also explode when thrown, so yeah it actually kinda makes sense.
