Hey guys,

Just wanted to throw this warning out here.
Just received my EZ Flash Parallel, was super happy with the quality until I actually started playing a game and closed the lid.

With every game when you close the lid the power light, audio and screen strobe on and off.
It stops when you open the lid but this is really not acceptable and I imagine it could put a lot of stress on the system to cycle power like that so rapidly...

I am using the official firmware from the site - https://www.ezflash.cn/download/
The issue happens regardless of the custom theme

I would hold off on getting the flash cart for now

I bet this has something to do with the ntrboot thing since it apparently affects the sleep mode, but I'm just guessing.

I believe the changelog from the first kernel revision stated there is a sleep mode bug. I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume this is that bug.

Tested some more -

Sleep mode is broken for me on
Original model DS
both of my DS Lites

Sleep mode works for me on
New 3ds
New 3ds XL/LL
3ds

I'm curious if it is working on DSI or not, unfortunately my DSI is getting repaired :(

Can confirm sleep mode works properly on my N3DSXL with LumaCFW. Not sure if having CFW makes any difference, but I'm not about to restore to stock FW to test.

EDIT: Forgot to mention I am using the latest kernel as of this post, v1.04

"Known issue: Closing lid to suspend in game does not work for now, fixing." <--- they're obviously working on fixing it
Oh I misunderstood that as part of the patch notes, as if 1.02 was an attempted fix.

Good to know they're on it, I'm sure it'll be resolved soon :grog:

If you get a chance to get a Pi5, get it, its like 3 times as fast as the Pi4 for Emu. GameCube and Wii games even play well.

Not sure if it would behoove me, mines that B model with 8GBs of RAM got mine OCed to 2GHz and the only two games I found that might work better N64 Killer Instinct and PSP Motor Storm Arctic Thunder
