Hacking ezflash 3 in 1 V not recognized

I recently purchased the ezflash 3 in 1, and I read a post on here where someone with an EDGE card like me was able to run gba games fine.

However, when I use gbaexploader it tells me that there is no recognizable slot-1 device. Can anyone tell me what I should do to get it to work?
I'm not sure if there is anything I should do like put on some sort of installation file on my sd card or what. I know that the RAM works fine when I run the browser, and the rumble works great too.
