Hello,

I am trying to help a friend restore formatted game data off a XBOX 360 hdd. To help, I took my own 360 hdd and tried the following:
  1. Install a Linux filesystem driver called Fuse FatX by someone called baxtor104 (I found it on sourceforge, I'm not sure if I am allowed to link to websites yet).
  2. Remove hdd from enclosure and threw it into my Linux desktop PC
  3. Mount the drive using Fuse
However, the drive looks blank to me. Weird, I know I at least have Eternal Sonata and Halo data on this drive.

My goal is to mount the drive and use software to look for deleted data. Does anyone have some pointers here? I would appreciate the help.

I know that USB_XTAF, Party Buffalo driver and Xplorer 360 lists everything that's on the drive.
Horizon and Modio do the same thing iirc, but restoring deleted data.. I wouldn't know mate.

I'd start by imaging the drive.
That way you won't accidentally write over deleted data.
