I think people should stop buying re-releases. Reboot or remake fair game but the same game? Emulate or get an original system, specially with a worst port o bad emulation compilation.
You lose either way. Smooth 3D models and crappy backgrounds or vice-versa. But the PC version at least have a nice mod with HD backgrounds just released.I must be the only one who hates wobbly PS1 3D games/models then. PC port is so much smoother with the 3D models. People sure love bitching about the PC port it seems, not like they're forced to buy it.

I mean that if it's enhanced, remake or a reboot it's okay but a straight re-release while also introducing new bugs is not.*Shrug* Okay then?
Refusing to acknowledge the bugs is the worst part to me. It's been 3.25 years for the PS4 release and even longer for Steam. They keep releasing the same broken shit even though we know they're aware of it since they did finally patch the same issue with FFX HD on PS4 after it had been out for over a year? SE has no integrity to keep this sort of practice going.I mean that if it's enhanced, remake or a reboot it's okay but a straight re-release while also introducing new bugs is not.

This is the one I was referring to and what I thought OP meant. The soundtrack is a big part of this game's atmosphere and this bug in particular really cheapens it.Is this the bug where it restarts the field music after every battle? That has been there ever since the 1998 PC release.

That is indeed what I meant. The soundtrack is such a vital part of the game and transports so many feelings. Random battles happen far too often to hear some of the best parts in the tracks. This is the one I was referring to and what I thought OP meant. It's actually just a matter of dumping the files into a layeredfs directory. Even the PC executable, so you're not really limited by anything.Too bad mod support on Switch is such a PITA to use and implement.
If you use the New Threat mod, you can have the game maintain the Field Music when in battle, which handily circumvents this bug at least! That is indeed what I meant. Keeping this bug intact literally spits on the composers work in my opinion.
Maybe I'm too nostalgic about this, but I rather play with shitty resolution than hearing the first 15 seconds of many songs over and over again.
