Hacking Discussion Finally 15th here! So how do you guys plan to take advantage of potentially full control of Switch?

Well you kind've already have that to some extent on the Switch, with the RetroArch LibNX Ports not all systems are fully supported yet, but a lot of work is being put into porting over cores, and making them as stable as possble for the end user, and some users are even adding their own flare in the way of Border Art for instance.

Personally, I'd love to see both PPSSPP ported, and eventually Dolphin as well, preferably at full speed with sound, that would make the Switch the definative portable emulation machine IMO.

Also probably very hard to implement but a Wii U emulator would be so nice to have for the switch.

It's not hard to implement: It is impossible.

The switch is far away from being powerful enough to emulate any WiiU game at playable speeds.

Actually I think it should be able to play atleast some Wii u games, but it would take a huge effort to get it working.

No, will never happen.

WiiU is PowerPC and Switch is ARM64.

You'll need a multiple of the WiiUs performance to emulate it at a reasonable speed.

I wonder if Citra (the 3DS emu) would be possible at one point. They've gotten that thing crazy optmised, AFAIK it even runs fairly well on i3 and Pentium CPUs. Obviously it's a different architecture, but in terms of raw power to emulate, I'd assume it's do-able

I think you overestimate how powerful the switch CPU is.
It's basically an underclocked 2 year old tablet SoC.

hmm. The thing is also the money hasn't actually left my account yet and I haven't heard from them saying that I have paid. This was also before they bumped up the prices.

If it hasn't left your account that's weird. If your looking online at your bank check to see if it's being held, usually money available is different to account balance. Say you have 250 in the account but bought something for 50 then available will be 200 but total balance is still 250... very common..

If it is the same your payment alias failed and you haven't bought it. contact them.
