Homebrew flashcart doesnt show

hiya i brought a R4B9S3DS and my 3ds doesn't pick it up, im running 11.6.0-39E and its an old 3ds xl, please help

The R4i-B9S is flashed to only work in ntrboot mode. You can proceed with http://3ds.guide following the ntrboot part, it should work just fine.
I think there's a way to restore the R4i-B9S to R4i-SDHC firmware to be able to use it as a DS flashcart afterwards.
