I need help. I play Fortnite on pc but it does not run well. Some rare chances, it runs at perfect speed. It's so slow! I have 329 GB free of space. And the maximum is 465GB. I play on a HP Probook 6470b laptop. Help!!

Your available hard drive space is irrelevant here. Your laptop's specs are way below Fortnite's minimum specs. Aside from running at the lowest possible graphical setting and closing out every program other than it while running, your only option is to get a better computer.

I also set all of the settings to low, and sometimes it runs perfect

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

So, that means I need to close the Epic Games Launcher?

If it's the kind of launcher that can be closed after its respective game is opened, then yes. Some game launchers need to stay open when the game is being played, though. Test and find out.

Sometime the launcher gets crazy and take 60-70% of the processor randomly, but yeah you can play with the launcher closed.

That's how it runs on my pc too. My graphics card is garbage.

That's completely irrelevant.

This is your problem. Your computer is way too underpowered to play fortnite. Your only solutions are to get a new computer or download fortnite on whatever other consoles you have (PS4, Xbox 1, or Switch).

Sorry to make this irrelevant reply, but I think Fortnite is overrated. I prefer different battle royale games in my opinion.

I actually got a new computer and the specs are:
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 8.00 GB
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-5250U CPU @ 1.60GHz, 1601 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
It is an Intel NUC
Will it be able to run well?

Not at all. It's really meant for simple tasks or for hosting HTPC software to watch movies.

Your memory is sufficient, but your average clock speed is still way too low. I'm not familiar with Intel's NUC lineup, but from what I gather they're all but made for gaming. Basically : without a dedicated GPU the best you can hope for is struggling to keep lag, slow loading and artifacts at bay.
