Over the week, I tried experimenting finding a way to get full-motion video on the DS. After a few days, I managed to find a method that DID NOT require using a codec, and managed to display a few seconds of three of Juice Wrld's music videos for his first album, Goodbye & Good Riddance. In order to achieve this, I had to assign 128kb of VRAM to the top side of the screen.

The way it works is that each video is basically split into 12 blocks. Each block is a spritesheet containing 64x64 sprites. With some sort of spriteIndex counter, we rapidly increase the index of each spritesheet in each block. Doing this will allow the screen to show the video as it is.

I have attached a rom file, and in order to move on to the next video, or see the previous one, simply press the left and right button.
