I made these schematics back in April to build my own custom 4MBit game cartridge for the Game Boy.

The following chips are compatible:
  • AMD AM29F040
  • Fujitsu MBM29F040
  • TI TMS29F040
  • SGS M29F040
Top row:
EEPROM A18 > MBC1 PIN 14
EEPROM A17 > MBC1 PIN 15
EEPROM A16 > MBC1 PIN 16
EEPROM A15 > MBC1 PIN 17
EEPROM A12 > CART PIN 18

Bottom row:
EEPROM DQ1 > RAM PIN 12
EEPROM DQ2 > RAM PIN 13
EEPROM DQ3 > MBC1 PIN 04
EEPROM DQ4 > MBC1 PIN 05
EEPROM DQ5 > RAM PIN 17
EEPROM DQ6 > RAM PIN 18

Is this for make bootlegs? Do you have a working proto?
I like to see writeups of builds, planning on that?
