GameStop-exclusive Fallout 76 Power Armor helmets are being recalled due to mold risk

It's been almost a year since Fallout 76 launched, seemingly to weekly controversies, as the game's microtransactions, lack of NPC's, collector's edition's bags, battle royale mode, and gameplay all managed to draw ire from the public. As players found new games to focus on, stories of Fallout 76's perceived issues began to quiet down. But now, another problem has put Fallout 76 back in the spotlight, though this time, Bethesda isn't to blame. Over at GameStop, collectable, wearable model helmets of the series' T-51b Power Armor had been sold. The helmet was similar to that of the Fallout 76 collector's edition helmet, but instead featured a red-and-white paint job, along with a different interior lining.

This interior material has resulted in all of the Gamestop-sold helmets being recalled by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, as mold was found to be present on the inside of the product. 20,000 units were affected, though none of them are from the Fallout 76 Collector's Edition, just the red GameStop model. If you managed to purchase one of these helmets, you can contact GameStop for a full refund, and you likely should--even if the chances of many actually putting the helmet on and wearing it is slim--as the recall states that those with compromised immune systems, damaged lungs, or mold allergies are at risk.

Funny how some People dont read the article and jump to conclusions after reading the Title just to think: "Cool I can rant about Bethesda again" and ignoring the fact that this time it is not Bethesdas fault. Not even remotely.

Thoughts:
  • This game is effing cursed, as is everything made for it
  • #FireToddHoward
  • I don't even want to know what horrible thing will come out of Bethesda next to actively try and kill people
That about sums it up.

Bethesda signed off on these turds. And Todd is a smug bastard of a ceo that doesn't know when to shut up. Not quite as outspoken as randy Pitchford, not quite as insidious as bobby kotick, but has the audacity to act like they release finished products. Yeah, he deserved all of the hate, and then some.

which you can get only through GameStop preorders :D

Seriously though, why are they using such cheap non-durable material.
I bet there's mask remnant dating back to the stone age that have not gotten moldy yet.
Possibly, but those are the Premium DLC that costs over 1 Billion Atoms.

umm it's called immersion! I bet in real life fallout the power armor helmets would have had traces of mold in them. Gamestop did this to give the customer a more "Immersive" experience. LOL.

To be fair both the GameStop and Bethesda helmet are pretty much identical, so if sweat is the issue both will mold. Imo I never understood cheap plastic that sits on a shelf being sold at a premium.
