1/ Install CIA version of Zelda OoT following your region (EUR for example).
2/ Install SaveDataFilter
3/ Export savedata from your working exploit Zelda OoT3D to installed CIA copy via SaveDataFilter
4/ Get and share the CIA's savedata from your (micro)SDCard (3DS)

Edit: Just forgot that you need on CFW (4.5-- Old 3DS only) ...

Oh, I can't install any CIA's right now as I've not been able to "verify" that I'm in emunand via the system settings, I get no "GW3D" before the version info. As soon as I figure it out I'll get on that.

You can setup icon layout to figure out where you are in. For example, for sysnand, 2 rows of icons, for emunand (after running the exploit) 3 rows of icons.

Thats a good idea but I'd rather wait for now, don't want to mess anything up as I don't have a nand mod

Used 2DS to restore gamesave through Gateway Launcher, copied Launcher.dat to N3DS MicroSD card, worked first time.

Yes, we should wait for a stable moment. I will try tonight after getting a working exploit for Zelda OoT3D from my local store... hope it will work.

Oh please let this be true. Fact is if indeed many OoT flashcarts don't work, then if we had this solution then it would be better and cheaper then purchasing a 150$ copy of OoT. 150$ because scalpers will figure out its a crap Shute getting one that works and when they do they are going Jack the he'll out of that price.

I'd rather purchase a sky3ds for 70$ which I already have, but you will have a new 3ds flash cart and gateway exploit, best of both worlds. No way scalpers are going to sell these rare OoT carts for less then 80$ when news catches on....


Anyone make YouTube videos on here? I wonder if a detailed working tutorial video would help more carts to work. Idk I'm grasping at straws lol.

A way to use the sky3ds has not been found yet, Sonic2756 is trying to find a way to use a SKY3DS cart with the exploited Zelda OoT rom. If you have knowledge on how to get something like this working then give him a pm and see if you guys are working together, if not you have to wait till somone figures it out.

With so many cards not working, I wonder if it's just a save compatibility issue and Gateway can fix it or if the versions have had something changed that permanently breaks whatever Gateway have done.

We have only one japanese n3ds that tried the exploit but the OoT save corrupted but didn't brick anything. Personally I'm waiting atleast a week before I hear no one has bricked their n3ds before I even attempting with my OoT cart. I just feel the fact that there were no leaks that this release wasn't widley tested thus the potential for bricks to happen,

Here was the test results, there could be more in posts, il add them to the OP in a bit, there are reasons that I need to take breaks every few hours, plus I'm doing the op with just a ipad 3 on newest os so it's hella buggy and uber slow.

Hopefully somone with japanese n3ds can confirm it works without a brick, but even then I'd wait but you are all much braver than me so meh lol.

Does anyone know if it's possible to restore the save game to a JPN OoT copy on a NA original 3DS via Gateway? I have a JPN N3DS but I don't want to order an imported copy of OoT until I'm sure. (repost from the "other" thread since all I got was an unhelpful reply)
