I finally made one for my self, to match my n64.
32pin gba so i just did a homemade cable adapter again, it came out pretty "grape" if you ask me!
Has anyone bothered to keep the rubber gasket from the old screen? I feel that's a thing to reuse to help keep a majority of the dust out in the long run.
Finally finished my Mod. Just went and bought a 32 pin motherboard. Was sick of screwing around trying to get the 40 pin to work right without image retention.
Made the mod yesterday. Somehow the AGS-101 display is showing pale colors.
I am using the 101 display with an 40 pin adapter:

Any way to fix this without switching to a 32 pin mainboard?
Here you can see that there are also two kind of AGS-101 screens:

Looks like I am having a Type B display and the chinese adapters are for Type AB displays.
So the easiest solution would be buying a 32 PIN mainboard
They do sell 40 pin ribbons for white tab, that's what I've got in mine.
That's a beauty! How do you get that color? Do you dye a clear blue glacier shell with Red DYE?Confirm what?
Do you mean pre-modded consoles? If so, then yes. In fact, I've got a few up for grabs right now. I have them posted on a few forums that I frequent.

Can you explain the exact process?
I've read somewhere that you have to heat water, add the dye, and then acetone.
