Geniuses GBAT, has anyone figured out the easiest method for tracking the latest game updates?

Thank for trying to help out again, but nope. Close, but it doesn't list the title ids with the updates as far as I could tell.

But if you don't even have the game why do you need to know about an update?

That is irrelevant to giving an actual answer. If you can't answer the question there's no point in saying things like "Don't worry about it" and "But...why"? Those kind of non-answers are a waste of space and not helpful. Either try to give an actual answer or don't participate. "Because I have no reason, you shouldn't either." doesn't work. And I'm not even going to explain my reasoning at this point because I'll just get something like "But that's not a good reason."

Or I can keep participating in any way I choose, just don't respond if you don't want to answer the question

LMFAO! Do you realize what you just said?

Me: Maybe don't respond if you can't answer the question.
You: You can't tell me to not respond!!! But don't respond if you don't want to answer the question.

I asked a question. Yes, you can respond how you wish. You can either give an answer or not, but you have not done so as of yet. You've only asked a question in return. Which I might actually be more than happy to answer if you gave an actual answer to the question I asked to begin with. Your order of questioning is backwards. lol

See how ridiculous it is when someone you don't know on a forum tells you what to do ;)

Not even a fraction as ridiculous as someone thinking "Either try to give an actual answer or don't participate." was to be taken literally as "You can no longer post!" It's more of a suggestion. Shouldn't even have to explain that. Keep posting what you'd like. You still haven't given an answer. lol

You run this homebrew on your Switch and it will list the updates with Names. This is just the github it uses for the info.
For non developers like myself, the link to the releases is on the right side:

Thanks @BigOnYa for dumbing this down for all of us non-devs morons! 🤣

Hmm, latest release is:

https://github.com/16BitWonder/NX-Update-Checker/releases

Aug 19, 2021

It generates a list of games that have available:
  • Updates
  • DLC's
But the list looks something like this:
Code:
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate [01006A800016F07C][v0]
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate [01006A800016F07D][v0]
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate [01006A800016F084][v0]
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate [01006A800016F086][v0]
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate [01006A800016F169][v0]
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate [01006A800016F16A][v0]
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate [01006A800016F16B][v0]

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate [01006A800016F16F][v0]
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate [01006A800016F170][v0]
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate [01006A800016F171][v0]
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate [01006A800016F172][v0]
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate [01006A800016F173][v0]
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate [01006A800016F174][v0]
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate [01006A800016F175][v0]
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate [01006A800016F176][v0]
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate [01006A800016F177][v0]
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate [01006A800016F178][v0]
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate [01006A800016F179][v0]
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate [01006A800016F17A][v0]

Which is a tad confusing.

Hopefully, it's getting improved to be a little more user friendly.

I still love it as it is though, at least I got a list to get started with.

We still have to manually find the updates and DLC's, which is fine.

I mean I'd think that's how most people would take it?

Still don't know why you're so against saying why you need to know about updates for games you don't even have

No, that's not how most people would take it. That has not been my experience. Most people are aware of what is being said literally and what is not.

Still don't know why you're so against answering the question I asked FIRST, unless I answer the one you asked after. Oh, wait. I do know. You don't have an answer. Never have, never even tried, and still don't. But continue on with your nothingness. How bout this? If you don't have anything to contribute, follow the rules because it's against terms to keep posing things that aren't contributing to the conversation. Does that work better for you?

FYI...

There's another way to check for game updates and DLC's using DBI. So, if you already have DBI installed, no need for another tool.

  • Tools > Check for Title Updates
The output from DBI is a bit cleaner and more organized, IMHO.

These are smash bros dlc dummy title IDs that never got used by Nintendo.
In dbi you can black list them so they don't show up in the list anymore.
