You need ecm tools to get back .bin+.cue from bin.ecm.

And yeah, you need .cue to create VCD files.
yeah i forgot, ecm is a popular format from that paradise rom website, when you download if you pay attention to the page it tells you need to use a tool supplied on their forums to convert back to bin+cue

And for games that dont have CD tracks, you can create the .cues manually :

1. Create a txt file named the same as your .bin.
2. Open it with notepad and add these infos :

FILE "Metal Gear Solid (E) (Disc 1) [SLES-01370].bin" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00

3. Rename your text file from .txt to .cue

Example :

Metal Gear Solid (E) (Disc 1) [SLES-01370].bin
Metal Gear Solid (E) (Disc 1) [SLES-01370].cue

+ good infos in .cue.

(.bin and .cue names MUST match).

That's what I already did, but it seems yours is different and correct! It has spaces in yours at the start and it was not the case on some garbage website explaining it, so that might've been the problem the entire time LOL.
Thanks!

BTW, looks like the vid tut is not up-to-date. Use POPStarter Rev 13 WIP05 - it's the last stable release - for daily gaming. Betas are more for testing new features and make reports to kHn.

What's that garbage website ? Link ?

I already forgot and clicked away from it.

Now that I thought everything was setup, VCD and everything, when I load the .elf file, it returns to FreeMCBoot.
What is the issue and what did I do wrong?

Glad it worked. Gonna reupload soon a tool (batch) I made that creates and renames POPStarter.ELF files all by itself so that kind of mistakes not happen. Useful when you have a lot of VCDs. Have fun !

Thanks a lot! :D You're really helpful!

@migles I'll get back to you later about how the PS2 game plays vs disc. Going to enjoy my new PSX game first!

Can someone please confirm if the memor32 card can back up both PSX and PS2 gamesaves?
Would it be easy to use these save files for a PSX/PS2 emulator, or do I need to conver them first?

it can backup ps2 saves
however PSX require a PSX memory card. PSX games don't save to a ps2 card...

i am not sure and i don't remember if you can copy PSX saves into a ps2 memory card but supposedly that you can, i assume the save manager will also deal with that saves as well

heres a picture of the save manager for reference:

anyway if you do what i said in this thread, (install freemcboot)
you can use freemcboot to launch homebrew like a save manager and copy the saves into a usb stick

Thank you very much, freemcboot seems easy enough to install if I cannot do it directly using the memor32.
