I had this problem with the original tinfoil
Just had to put the auto sleep to 30 minutes, or if you don't want to do that, touch the screen in order to reset the timer

I just did a USB install of the new Yoshi with 0.5 final and it installed without a problem. Strange thing is that I needed to restart Atmo 0.8.6 after pressing home button. Remember I had the same issue last week after a SD installation with the 0.5 nightly. What can it be?

goldtree somehow knows if a nsp is valid or something, don't remember the exact message at the end of the usb install but goldtree said it couldn't open nsp file are you sure nsp is correct, it said something like that. I installed Yoshi which was a converted xci to nsp file, is this normal because the game still installed and seems to work properly.

same thing happened to me, maybe it's that error at the end of the usb install that caused it, not sure if you got that invalid nsp thing too.

Strange stuff

Managed to install a game just fine using the latest goldtree and goldleaf (average 20mb/s)
Following that i install the DLC of the game, i got stuck at transfering (0mb/s) after a few minutes i plug the cable
I uninstall the DLC and try to install again, but this time the process completed almost instantly (DLC file is about 350mb)
As expected the installation is corrupted, remove both game and dlc then sub sequence installation completed instantly

Fall back to OG tinfoil and NS-USBloader for good measure before redownloading the nsp, surprisingly it installed and game starts.

Anyone experiencing this?

Just noticed the Goldleaf version I have is still 0.4, might reinstall later but the game did install. I still got the atmosphere error, not sure if you got that too.

yeah version 0.4 is a buggy mess XD

Atmosphere error? Did you do a bug report for it?

@XorTroll The switch goes to sleep during title installation and messes everything up :( I had to find the title id and delete it's ticket to be able to reinstall it.
You can turn off auto sleep in system settings for now. @XorTroll should be able to disable it just while goldleaf is installing tho (at some point I bookmarked this commit of pplay as an example of preventing sleep...)

Ya i am seeing that as well. But is average speed though, maybe the calculation is wrong?

I transferred a 3.93GB NSP last night through USB it stayed at constant 16MB. Yet on a non gui connecter like TF it's faster is it the GUI that creating an overhead or is the usb side not optimized yet I saw the same speed on V3 as well.

I just did a installation with goldleaf 0.5 and NS-USBloader 0.4 instead of goldtree having the same speed as well around 15MB/s Maybe it got something to do with you the USB transfer protocol in goldleaf 0.5

PS Tried with USB A to Type C USB 2.0 and type c to type c 3.0

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.
