Since Vita has native ATRAC9 playback support, it is not hard to make Music app accept ATRAC9 files. Here's what you have to do:

6. Copy AVContent.db back to your Vita, replacing the original one.
Thats it. Now you can open Music app and listen to your music in ATRAC9 format.
Fun fact: during ATRAC9 playback, system-reserved core load is ~10% less compared to mp3.

- On PC, change extension of files you want to copy to your Vita from .at9 to .wav
- Copy this files to your Vita just like any other music file, using CMA or downloading them from browser
- Using Vitashell, go to ux0:mms/music and copy AVContent.db to your PC
- Using SQLite DB Browser, open it, than open tbl_Music table
- Find your files (using "title" column), change following fields and write changes:

status: 2
6. Copy AVContent.db back to your Vita, replacing the original one.
