Description :
Soulcalibur is a weapon based 3D fighting game developed by Project Soul and produced by Namco. Originally released in arcades on July 30, 1998, it ran on the Namco System 12 hardware. It was ported to the Dreamcast in 1999 with new features and improved graphics. It became available as a downloadable title on the Xbox 360's Xbox Live Marketplace in July 2008.
On November 20, 2013, Namco Bandai released a port of Soulcalibur for the Android platform. The app makes use of Google Play Games for synchronization between devices and runs at native resolution and screen aspect ratio.

NOTE : The game is no longer available in the Google Play Store.

This is a wrapper/port of SoulCalibur for the PS Vita. The port works by loading the official Android ARMv7 executable in memory, resolving its imports with native functions and patching it in order to properly run. By doing so, it's basically as if we emulate a minimalist Android environment in which we run natively the executable as is.

Install :

The port has been tested with v.1.0.15 of the game.

Requirements ->
- Vita Plugin libshacccg.suprx
- Vita Plugin kubridge.skprx
- Vita Plugin fd_fix.skprx OR repatch_ex.skprx (do only use one of them !)
- Android Game Data Files
- PC Tool WinImage (need for extract obb file)
- PC Tool xdelta UI / shader.xdelta (need patch for shader.dat)

Android Data ->
- Obtain your copy of SoulCalibur legally for Android in form of an .apk file and an obb.
- Create a folder with the name ''soulcalibur'' in ux0:data/ .
- Open the apk with your zip explorer and extract the folder ''lib'' folder to ux0:data/soulcalibur.
- Use WinImage to open the obb file. Select all the files and extract all to ux0:data/soulcalibur.

(nfo = xdelta. Allows you to easily create and apply xdelta patches without messing with the command-line.)

- Install SoulCalibur Vita v.1.0.vpk on the Vita system

Optional Trophies :
- For trophies to be unlockable, install NoTrpDrm.

Notes and Tips :
- Some stages (eg. Water Labyrinth and the final Arcade fight with Inferno) might cause framedrops. Please report any of these problematics so that a fix can be find for specific stages.
- When first launching the game, it is recommended to go into Options and lower BGM and SE volumes to 8 or lower. Not doing so will cause SFX glitching out due to too high volume playback.
- Some stages (Takamatsu Castle and Money Pit) got simplified in background elements to reduce framerate tanking.
- Stages that aren't unlockable in Android version due to lack of Mission Battle mode got restored and will be available to play from the beginning, including alternate stages.

First Test :
PSTV 3.65 + 32GB Sony Memory Card + fd_fix + kubridge v3 (no overclock used or install)
Data Files : found p2p data pack somewhere on google (before install guide was posted)
Result : WORKING from start to end confirmed by member jeferey + Marc_LFD

the link for the files works just make sure when you extract its just one soulcalibur folder. i have mine working and running.

I have my p2p copy data files from Dexx, you know.

The question is, what is it for a data version, because I only have a obb file ? Its for the install guide. The p2p data files has no obb file.

  • Optional: Install PSVshell to overclock your device to 500Mhz.
  • Install libshacccg.suprx, if you don't have it already, by following this guide.
  • Obtain your copy of SoulCalibur legally for Android in form of an .apk file and an obb. You can get all the required files directly from your phone or by using an apk extractor you can find in the play store.
  • Open the apk with your zip explorer and extract the folder lib folder to ux0:data/soulcalibur.
  • Install WinImage and open the obb file with it.
  • Select all the files and right-click them, then click on Extract and extract all the files in ux0:data/soulcalibur.
  • Download xdelta UI and extract the zip content in ux0:data/soulcalibur.
  • Download the shader.xdelta patch from Release page and apply it, using xdelta UI to ux0:data/soulcalibur/shader.dat and replace original file with the patched one.
  • Optional: For trophies to be unlockable, install NoTrpDrm.
I guess from following these steps that are on the github you can extract all the files from the obb you mentioned to build the folder needed for your Vita

This game was incredible on the Dreamcast and still is, whenever I play it I still have a blast so Vita users are getting a real treat here.

Whenever I played, I'd play a whole arcade session and then a character would be unlocked. I don't get how you think they'd be unlocked after playing 2 stages.

Whenever I played, I'd play a whole arcade session and then a character would be unlocked. I don't get how you think they'd be unlocked after playing 2 stages.
weird for me it doesn't unlock,

I was playing an entire arcade session too.

Its possible that there is mostly nothing to unlock... Its based on the Europe XboX version so far I know, but unsure.

it works *...the characters are unlocked, but you don't have to touch anything in the settings (difficulty, number of rounds etc...) it's perfect thank you! Probably a small bug easily corrected by Rinn (nothing stops it)
