Only by user error. If you follow the guide to a T, no.This may be a stupid question but could this brick my 3DS
So I was on step 15 and my 3DS turned black and it stayed like that for about 2 minutes and I did a hard reset. Now I'm trying to turn it on but the screens just stays black and... nothing.
What do I do? Did it brick?
If you came here from step 15, just follow the guide imagining nothing happened.
If you can't get to Luma3DS screen after successfully following 16, get the arm9loaderhax.bin from this file and put in your microSD root.
If, after getting a glitched screen on step 15 and continuing like nothing happened you still don't see Luma's config, just re-start step 15.

Is the blue LED light on or does it immediately turn off?

Only if he didn't have an arm9loaderhax.bin in his microSD root.if A9LH installed successfully then it would immediately turn off.
Got it working now. You're a saint. You renamed the file to "x_Decrypt9WIP.bin" and put it in "luma/payloads"?
Yup, it may be bricked, if A9LH installed successfully then it would immediately turn off. Keep that NANDmin.bin from the sd:/files9 folder, that can be used with a hardmod to restore the 3DS. If you have soldering skills you can try yourself otherwise you will need to ship it to someone, prob won't be cheap to fix, here is a list of users 2 from Brazil that do this service:

Press start.
If it doesn't boot up, boot up the system without the SD Card.
